Brilliant faculty and staff, very engaged in their work and eager to teach others. Excellent work-life balance, supportive management team.

Cons

Lots of bureaucracy. Moves at a very slow pace when it comes to decision making. Timelines for making changes are unnecessarily long.

If you are an undergraduate at Rice I strongly recommend trying to do research. I did research with Lin Zhong and I strongly recommend it.

Cons

It is a good experience, but it is more of for the experience not the money. Though you do make more money than you would doing nothing. :)
