Pros

I'm excited to wake up everyday to come to work at RigUp. The business is on its way to entirely transform an industry that desperately needs innovation and fresh thinking to stay relevant. The founders have taken the idea from concept to reality and we're now at the crossroads of propelling the growth forward. There's not a more exciting time to be at RigUp as we are working on executing a vision that is becoming reality. I work with an incredibly motivated and open team that checks their ego at the door and listens to new ideas and how to better our processes. The pay is competitive and the benefits are top notch. Healthcare is paid for, there's unlimited PTO, and they're launching a 401k plan in the new year. This allows me to focus on doing a top notch job at work. My manager doesn't micro-manage and provides me the freedom to come up with creative solutions to helping the company excel.

Cons

Not really any cons. I'm supportive of the direction the business is headed and am excited for what the future holds.

Great Team, Unsure of Management

Pros

The teams you work with have great people. People genuinely put in their best work, they are great people to go have dinner or a drink after work. Corporate culture is one of working together, not very individualistic. Company architecture is fairly flat which means everyone has some ability to shape product.

Cons

Management seems to be favoring short term gains to long term success at times. Fastest growing player in a shrinking market of oil field labor. Flat architecture can make it hard to know if there is any chance to move up. Money is stingy in an attempt to turn a profit, below market wages at a point when they offer little equity. The only real company value seems to be money, but at least management is obvious about that.

Mostly a start-up still

Pros

RigUp is still rather small, so everyone makes an impact on the bottom line. The founders are genuinely nice guys, very accessible. Things are still moving rather quickly too. Downtown Austin location is nice.

Cons

Nothing to mention for cons.
