Pros

The company is growing fast which allows for awesome opportunities to accelerate your career if you're willing to take charge. There is a culture of openness and transparency that allows great ideas and initiatives to come from anywhere in the organization, not just management or particular teams.

Cons

Nothing worth noting at this time.

Pros

The team is up to some incredibly big things at RigUp. What I love about working here is the fast pace environment. I've worked at other tech companies prior, and a lot of them move at a snail's pace compared to RigUp. Management has a "no-bs" attitude and everyone down to the interns is given the opportunity to make a big impact. Here at RigUp I enjoy that engineering and product can work hand in hand with sales and support functions. At my last company, different departments never interacted together. They were information and idea silos. At RigUp, the culture is hyper collaborative. I can't wait to see what the future holds for the company. It's truly exciting.

Cons

Hard to think of anything specifically that stands out as a negative. But I would like to see more personal enrichment workshops in lieu of company happy hrs or outings. I know this is something the office manager and team are working to address. For instance, instead of a happy hour, could we instead host a time management workshop for employees?

Highly Recommend Working Here!

Pros

I've worked at several different types of workplaces in my career history including a small start-up, a small satellite office, a large public company, a mid-size private company, a public company in Europe, and a massive corporation. In my 10 years of work experience, RigUp is by far my favorite job I've ever had. I put a lot of value on working with extremely smart, driven, and goal-oriented people, and RigUp has these people. People are nice here, willing to help each other out, and working well as a team and collaborating is super important. Even though RigUp is about 2 years old, it's growing and on the up and up. I feel secure in my job, my opinions are heard, and my ideas are brought to the table. Ideas come from all departments and job titles and many are implemented, even from our Interns. RigUp also pays for 100% of your health benefits, which is awesome! Their location in Austin is super convenient and the office layout makes sense. Oh, and there are lots of windows. I've had jobs where I sit in a cubicle and I wouldn't know if there was a tornado outside...not at RigUp. Lots of natural light to keep you feeling sane throughout the workday. There's also a lot of opportunities to socialize with your fellow employees outside of work, but they aren't mandatory. Vacation time is flexible as long as you are getting your work done and making things happen. AND, you are rewarded if you meet your goal set. I could go on and on with the pros...

Cons

If you aren't willing to work hard or if you aren't able to easily adapt to different situations or a fast-paced culture, RigUp isn't for you. If you aren't proactive, RigUp isn't for you. And most importantly, if you have an ego, have some sort of dog-eat-dog agenda or don't work well with others, RigUp is definitely not for you. Otherwise, I have nothing bad to say about this company, and don't have any cons to share.
