Pros

The work/life balance at Rochester is the best I have ever experienced. Some positions have overtime when needed but mostly warehouse and shipping. Health benefits are amazing and cannot be beat anywhere. The company has a great niche in the electronics industry and has been growing steadily for years. Well maintained facilities and comfortable work environment.

Cons

Typical small/growing company stuff mostly. Some managers are weak and self-serving, which is either tolerated or unknown by leadership. Infrequent performance reviews are frustrating to some employees who want feedback and the opportunity to grow. Some grumbling about below average pay, however the turnover is still fairly low?

Dear Employee, You are right! There is always room for improvement which is why we strive to make a difference every day with process improvements, training and development initiatives and the implementation of an annual performance review program. Although continuous performance conversations are encouraged, we are pleased to create formality and standardization around this process. Should you like to further discuss any aspect of this review, I welcome it. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me personally. Warm Regards, Dina Miller Senior HR Business Partner

Pros

Company is growing, and will continue to do so. On-shoring of microelectronic assembly is bucking the U.S. trend for the last 20 years. Management encourages entrepreneurial attitude and outlook. Outstanding health benefits and 401(k) package.

Cons

Occasional growing pains, not unlike all companies. Very manageable.

To our current employee, We appreciate your candid feedback and are sorry to hear of your discontentment. Please do not hesitate to speak with your manager as well as myself personally or any member of the Human Resources team. The company supports all views and welcomes any and all feedback. Our rich and mostly employer funded health insurance plan is exceptional and we are glad that you agree. We are committed to merit and performance management programs in an effort to retain our top and good performers. We are building the roadmap in developing a comprehensive compensation program to support the company’s goals, vision, and mission while establishing a performance-based culture that aligns pay with performance. We are excited about our growth and all these amazing initiatives that will pave the way for the future of Rochester Electronics. Warm Regards, Dina Miller Senior HR Business Partner
