Pros

- Location - Colleagues with the exception of majority of management - Benefits package (healthcare specifically)

Cons

Previous reviews were written by a manager within Rochester to throw prospects off. Do not believe the hype and take a job in sales at this company. It is negative from the top down. Behind closed doors, the management team is catty, negative, and weak. The strategy changes from day to day. They prey upon employees - you will be overworked, and underpaid but a raise/promotion will be dangled in front of you for years. Most sales people are beaten down, no one actually enjoys their job. The turn over is extremely high, they cannot keep good people because they are set up to fail. Inexperienced management team is the opposite of motivating and terrible leaders. I've never been a part of a more poorly managed company or negative/political environment in my career. The decision to move on was one of the best I've made. Don't believe the next few reviews Rochester Electronics management will write to try to salvage their ratings.

A Great Company to Work For!

Pros

Ethics, values and passion of Ownership and Management Team - Industry leading business model in segment, continually evolving to meet and exceed industry needs globally. A name, not a number - Valued for who you are not just what you do - The expectation on the employee and fairly so it to be someone with not only the correct capability, to be a contributor, singularly and as a selfless team member - to have a great attitude, show true commitment and be accountable for your actions. Those that display a great attitude and work to add value to themselves, colleagues and the company are recognized and rewarded. The company continually seeks to add enhanced employee and family benefits and provide genuine care for each employee.

Cons

Every employee needs to take responsibility for their own contribution, it's clear there are many great employees around the globe at Rochester and we need all to show same appreciation and engagement to maximize our success.
