Pros

Great team members, free coffee, tea. Being downtown in Detroit. 1 hour lunches.

Cons

Unrealistic expectations for call handle times, low pay (you can make more money doing less work elsewhere), low bonuses, policy changes almost weekly, petty markdowns on call reviews (which affects your bonus, taking time off affects your bonus. This place is a sweat shop. You must use your personal break time to add log notes between call. Call volume is insane, at any given time there will be 70-90 calls waiting Ask questions and understand what you're getting into before you accept the job. This job can be very stressful, and is not for everyone. If you can't handle it, by all means keep looking elsewhere. The parking/shuttle situation calls for employees to arrive 30-45 mins earlier than usual. If your commute to downtown is 30 mins, allow for at least an hour. It's difficult to transfer into another part of the Quicken family of companies.

Pros

You have a job and don't need to call the unemployment office. May be able to pay rent. If you love sugar, unlimited unhealthy choices at your disposal. Fast pace environment with changes every time you blink. Opportunities to grow are available. Best to have another stream of income to survive.

Cons

Better not get sick or actually have to care for a sick love one. Not only will your team hate you, but you lose bonus pay because of life responsibilities. Best to join if you have no one to care for or take your time away from the work that needs to be done. This is a position not to make a career out of. It's a stepping stone and truly a learning experience about how "out-the-box" corporations truly work seasoned with nepotism.
