Pros

Rollins is a stabled company and is great if you’re ready for retirement and not really looking for anything challenging.

Cons

There are very little to no growth opportunities and once you’re in a position, you’re basically confined to it. Your options are either move to a different department, if applicable, or leave the company. Many talented people chose the latter for better opportunities. The company is heavily male dominated and women are often overlooked. Managers do show favoritism and tend to promote ‘friends’ rather than people who are more than deserving of promotions.

It is unfortunate to hear that you felt like Rollins is a company that does not challenge you and that you felt like there were no growth opportunities. Career advancements can sometimes also come in the form of other assignments or roles designed to either broaden or specialize your skills. Rollins is a company that very much so promotes from within and encourages continuing education and/or training to grow your skill set. It is recommended that you to have regular conversations with your manager regarding your career goals and aspirations and map out together any education and/or training that will aid in your progression. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors!

Pros

Stable company Decent Coworkers There are some who are pushing for a cultural change

Cons

No career development or advancement aside from minimal yearly review compensation. A company whose leadership values people in seats, rather than the work those people are capable of doing. You better come in accepting an offer that you'll be comfortable with for a long time because inside growth tracks are pretty non-existent. The culture is extremely old and stuffy with no signs of changing in the near future.

Pros

Hm. Not a place to work.

Cons

Good ol' boy environment. Promotions happen because management selects their friends and golf buddies. They pile work on their employees with no incentives or extra compensation. The dress code is horrible for some. Management is naggy and nit picky. Women and people of color stay in the same position for years....it's rare that they are seen in a higher role than manager/supervisor. Mostly all the positions above supervisor/manager are filled by white men who got placed in the position have no clue what they are doing. They rely heavily on their staff that they manage. A lot of people want to leave. Upper management receives large bonuses and salary imcreases. Most people in regular positions are not allowed to get bonuses. CFO and CEO are greedy. There are a lot of racist people there, that only speak to white individuals. Please save yourself and time.....RUN. You are too talented to waste yourself on a company that will not respect or value you.

Our company is an equal opportunity employer and does not tolerate discrimination for any reason. Historically speaking this industry has been dominated by males and we are working to change that. We do have a qualified female executive as well as multiple female directors. We have promoted and hired more females into management positions and the desire is to hire more. We appreciate your concern for wanting more diversity and it is something we are working on but always balancing the right candidate for the role. One way our employees can aid in increasing the variety of our candidates, is to provide referrals through their network. Giving feedback and voicing your opinions helps start the discussion and create action for change. We have an open door policy and would encourage you to talk to your manager or HR about these concerns. Due to the seriousness of your concerns we would ask that you please reach out to Ruby Swann the HR business partner for the Rollins Corporate Office.
