Pros

The engineers and direct managers are great. The culture there is awesome, everyone wants to help each other learn and they have quarterly hackathons that are super fun to participate in. The work is super challenging with lots of room for growth

Cons

The company will give you projects outside of your skill level without clearly communicating expectations. They refuse to hire staff engineers or TPMs to lead large projects. After leading one of the largest projects at Rover, I learned that all my male co-workers made much more than me and were not leading large initiatives. I do not recommend this employer for any women despite the career growth opportunities.

Good WLB, Poor Management and Opportunities

Pros

Rover has excellent WLB, and you'll rarely find anyone working late hours

Cons

Product leadership is poor, and there is little room for advancement. The culture is very data driven, but it moves very slowly for a company of its size.
