Pros

Great flexibility with work if you consistently deliver. We have big goals and we're all moving in the same direction. I love our monthly all company meetings to keep a pulse on what's going on and hearing about other people's work. We are big enough to have great benefits, tools, resources, but small enough to be agile.

Cons

They're a pretty Seattle centric employer. The departments do a decent job of including remote folks, but they've cut back on corporate sponsored remote events. I miss having a hub in Spokane.

Pros

- With the company growing in the US, and expanding internationally, there are interesting challenges to work on. There is real opportunity to make an outsized impact - Growth at the company means growth opportunities for people as well - Two days a week in office let you get to know your coworkers while giving flexibility, especially for parents - You can bring your dog to the office - Benefits - Current ownership structure means Rover is not beholden to quarterly numbers for wall street, that gives the flexibility to play out long term bets

Cons

- The company is in an inflection point, where it has elements of it's prior start up approach and growing into the larger company it is becoming. This creates opportunity but there are growing pains as well. - A mix of new employees and long tenured can create friction between historical and new approaches, though management takes a truly data driven approach when a significant decision is needed - Tech debt means that some processes are still manual that can be automated, there's a roadmap to fix this but it will take time
