Pros

- fully remote - some great talent, although taken for granted

Cons

- Incredibly high turnover - Zero strategy. Constantly pivoting - C-suite is beyond toxic Overall the company has taken a turn for the worse and as a potential candidate, I can confidently say, look elsewhere. You can do better.

Pros

It can't get any worse... Truly. Noticing many negative reviews have been taken down, due to a loophole in Glassdoor's guidelines I imagine – How convenient!

Cons

Below is purely the tip of the iceberg: 1. Most problems stem from C-suite, who can best be described as erratic and paranoid; They are toxic and lack long-term vision. Many decisions are made frantically for short term solutions. 2. Being "female led" is relied upon very heavily in their marketing, however, the women in C-Suite behave transgressively. When women who have genuinely impressive background experience make suggestions which fall in their area of expertise they are shut down if C-Suite isn't aligned. Tear them down, push them out, keep them quiet. Like clockwork. 3. Aside from marketing, C-Suite doesn't have a deep understanding of what each role actually contributes to the company. Therefore you will have to constantly inform them on what you actually do in an effort for them to see your worth and not become a layoff casualty. This is likely why the marketing team is twice as large as every other team at Rowan. Larger than vital pillars of any company like the operations, e-commerce and even product development departments. Yikes. 4. Leadership asks so much out of their employees. Nothing is sacred here! What do you get in return? Horrible health insurance (the maternity leave at this "women-led" company is laughable) and a $500 tech stipend. Were you expecting a list of other benefits? I hope not, that's literally it! 5. Diversity isn't valued at this company. This isn't a claim, actually ask them for their DE&I report. There is basically no diversity in terms of race or gender. Despite this, their marketing tag line is "Piercing for all".

Pros

Can get some great tips

Cons

Very "fly by the seat of your pants" company, random required "trainings" on zoom that have almost no heads up, not a good "side job" if working full time elsewhere.
