Pros

Work/life balance is to be appreciated Ability to create own schedule is nice

Cons

Tons of disingenuous virtue signaling Can't get promoted if you're a person of color with a backbone There's tons of glass ceilings you can hit if you're not popular Extra curricular participation is expected i.e. social clubs & committees Constant, unrealistic changes happening internally and externally; sometimes employees find out about changes the same time clients do Shifting baseline syndrome never stops; you think you've hit a goal only to find out that the goal posts have moved Departments don't communicate effectively leaving clients feeling like no one knows what's going on; sometimes departments completely ignore client-facing roles leaving us to go to extreme measures to get help If there's a problem employees are blamed instead of the company actually going back to self-reflect Groupthink mentality prospers here and they discourage & curb individual creativity Bonuses are toyed with and keep getting smaller every quarter; we're at the mercy of senior leadership for a "fair shake" concerning our bonuses and they've moved quarterly bonuses to annual which I find incredibly suspicious Management passes off responsibility to subordinates then points a finger at employees when something goes wrong Quotas keep getting changed and are oppressive Many hours spent trying to calm angry clients who pay top dollar for services that are constantly breaking or have (in some cases) never worked This company chases the dollar and it's evident; they implement changes for the sake of lucrative partnerships but that doesn't always go well since it's at the expense of employees and clients who now have to change course or in some instances retire paid services/products A lot of wheel spinning between internal mandated meetings and "new" ways of inventing the wheel Some of the new initiatives turn into complete disasters causing backlog in tasks & man-power resulting in angry clients and overworked employees Prepare for Olympic gold medalist-level mental gymnastics if you want to do this

Pros

Great product, some genuinely nice people who are passionate about their work, nice office, good social/learning events due to funding from SAP

Cons

- Below average compensation and benefits in the bay area, it seems like the salaries are not adjusted to your COL - Very cliquey atmosphere, can easily feel like an outsider if part of a team that does not jibe together or you don't meet a certain prototype - Above average degree of politics and nepotism - Unfortunately this is an atmosphere that will condone throwing important issues such as a person of power mistreating a direct/mentee under the bus. - As another reviewer pointed out, while it is important for middle managers to be competent at their job, it is also just as important for middle managers to have the people skills to manage and retain their directs, not all middle managers had that

Pros

People actually work together to solve problems. I’ve never had resistance from anyone when I ask them to help me understand an area of a product. There is a culture of everyone pitching in to help each other out. Working from home or remotely is never a problem. Pay and benefits are excellent. They truly do believe in focusing on the user and solving problems for them. As a UX Designer, I’m completely empowered to design the product to meet customer and user needs, not development needs or management’s whims. Everyone looks to the design and research teams to create the right user experience for the products.

Cons

The company has grown quickly without much oversight on their infrastructure. As a result, it is all being rebuilt from the ground up, which is slow and painful. At the same time, execs are pressed to release new and improved products quickly to increase sales and meet market expectations on revenue growth. But the products are so large and complex, and there are so many interdependencies, it’s difficult for teams to know just what steps need to be taken to insure a product or feature is successfully built. The result is a constant push from above to speed things up, and resistance from below to ensure mistakes aren’t made and people don’t get burnt out.
