Pros

A superb, best of breed product. Concur also have a platform approach and a nice story around this (although other modules ((such as "Invoice") aren't as strong as the Expense tool). Pre-Sales resources are highly skilled and extremely competent when delivering to clients.

Cons

An extremely poorly led organisation from a UK perspective, with a wholly uninspiring, stail LT / Snr Mgt level. Territory division enables some rather a average sales individuals to cruise, while others work diligently with a significantly limited opportunity. I found jealously, ego's and resentment ate away at large numbers of people behind toothy grins and a very poor culture overall. I would ask very serious questions of any company that makes the same mistakes year upon year and fails to listen to process improvement suggestion from multiple employees - that and a business that at a basic level can't manage to address the repeated parking issues of its employees day after day.

Putting the Cart before the Horse, Hire and Fire, Clueless HR

Pros

- Some (not all) of the teams are collaborative - I met motivated collagues, but they are all let down by a lack of strategy resulting in mass confusion - Entrenched core Expense product, everything else is ancillary

Cons

Ole boys' club, frogs in the well. - The old-timers think just because they have been with the company for 10+ years (or even 2+ years in those emerging regions), that they know it all. Get out of your wells! Wait, I don't think you even realized you are in a well. - Management (Sr. Director & above) is extremely guarded in the information that they share, thinking they are the privileged ones, and the minions should be restricted in access to this information. A lot of ass-lickers at this layer who knows nothing about management or leadership. - Many of these old-timers would have trouble getting a job outside of Concur, in the event of the upcoming integration with SAP. - HR is totally inept and a great disservice, Recruiting team is sub-par. Stop posting fake glowing 5* GD reviews here as I know the flood will come, after genuine 2/3* reviews are posted. - Concur wants to behave like those Unicorns (Uber, AirBnB) or Google, but has a history of putting the cart before the horse and exhibit zero class in pulling it off (if you think you can pull it off in the first place). This is evident from the recruiting process itself (5, 6 rounds of interviews) where the Mgmt prides itself on being "selective", but its just a groupthink of frogs in the well. Go ahead and be selective, top performers still prefer SFDC, AirBnB and Google over you. Even SAP is a better compromise than joining Concur. - Concur is very hire-and-fire, I have seen colleagues joining for 2 weeks and let go just because of a 'change in org structure'. 2 weeks! Congrats on destroying someone's career due to you ignorant frogs.

Pros

Free induction trip to Prague for Sales kick off once a year Free fruits Good product Good incentives if you can reach them

Cons

- A lot of Nepotism! Can't highlight this enough - Company culture is toxic - Tenured successful employees are leaving to save their sanity - Micromanagement - Low level management with big egos and bad behaviour. Inexperienced and will not respect you. - Big differences within SME and Enterprise teams. Segregated teams - No Career progression - A lot of hoop jumping and carrot on the stick tricks. I've seen way to many people just leave after a few weeks. You are not treated as a person with rights, but as an expendable object - Not enough room for parking (about 20 spots with an office capacity of 300 people) - CRM system is a mess - Salary is very low and not competitive enough compared to other SAP businesses ( SAP counterparts have an increased base pay of 40% for the same role plus more benefits)
