Pros

HR cares about the well-being of its employees and provides them with good perks and benefits. SCAN tries to do right by its customers and encourages employees to assist in that endeavor.

Cons

The company is not a good spot for growth. There are great opportunities for growth as an individual contributor but growth from an individual contributor to a management role will not happen here. As evidence, look at the job posting for leadership roles; all of those will be filled by outsiders, despite there being people within the company who could and should be moved into management. The work-life balance really doesn't exist for hourly employees here.

No longer employee centric

Pros

Currently the only pros are PTO and the availability of hybrid and remote positions.

Cons

SCAN has quietly been removing employee benefits the past two years. No more employee appreciation picnics, star rating bonuses gone, cut back on recharge days, yearly raises and bonuses percentage shrinking with no transparency about these at the town hall meetings. They also keep changing the company yearly goals to make it impossible to get a higher raise. Instead they send everyone cheap merchandises with their logo on them.

Pros

The health benefits package is excellent.

Cons

SCAN Health Plan has a horrible work atmosphere due to the unprofessional leadership. Our supervisors here are often rude and disrespectful. They don't show employees any respect, and we regularly receive insults and verbal abuse from them. This isn't the kind of leadership thay you would like to work for I bet.

These insights are used to drive improvements towards our culture and serve as an attestation to the recognitions we’ve received. Among these insights are our Great Place to Work survey results, which show 93% of employees say SCAN is a great place to work and 95% of employees are made to feel welcome when joining the company. In addition to this, our leadership, management, and HR teams provide open forums for employees to share any problems or concerns they may have at any time.
