Pros

Great resources and applications to track work

Cons

Young, good looking MBAs with no people skills get promoted and have no idea how to manage employees. The leadership is riddled with older physicians who just want the company to get awards and be loved, they upgrade systems and get accolades, but degrade employees on fhe front line. Very out of touch, always wanting to be the latest and greatest.

Unfortunate Insufficiency of Empathy & Customer Service

It's a growing company. Very tech & process focused.

Several of the current leaders have consulting firm backgrounds, it is assumed that some current leaders were recently given their new titles & responsibilities in anticipation of the recent acquisition of HPP meaning some 'leaders' are presently experiencing on-the-job-training (not an organized training) in their new leadership roles. Many Schumacher leaders have little or no knowledge of true customer service and how to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ICs and employees. Personal experience: management has promised one thing and literally has avoided communication, if at all possible. In several recent cases promises have even turned out to be blatant untruths. There was little or no empathy during layoffs and you would've assumed they'd have learned a few things since they've seen major layoffs numerous times over the past 3-4 years. Not the case. SG is process focused, not people focused. I see quantity, not quality. Was incredibly concerned about what will happen to the hard work, passion, customer service driven core values and care that HPP put into their company over the past several years to rebuild the reputation into the great place to work that it had become for so many.
