Pros

SHI is a great opportunity fresh out of college. They require minimal experience to become an IAE. There's always opportunity to grow and they like to hire from within constantly.

Cons

Training is overwhelming. We have so many partners (that's great) that want to meet with you ALL the time. We get out of one training to go into another one sometimes... so by the time you actually have an opportunity about that specific vendor your brain will be filled with other information from other vendors and it's as if that initial training was just a waste of your time because you actually don't remember a thing.

Not a bad place to get started but it’s usually wiser to move on

Pros

Great culture: the people are by far the best part about SHI. You meet true friends there. Benefits: decent benefits for a single person. The rates for families is high though, and many times comes with penalty fees. Good place to begin a career Beautiful campus with decent amenities Strong work/life balance

Cons

Pay: again, not a bad place to start out, but chances are you’ll be underpaid your entire time there. Move on once you get your experience and get paid what you deserve. Reactive, not proactive: at least in my department it seemed like we weren’t being as forward thinking as we could have been. We felt years behind where other companies are in terms of tools and strategies. Didn’t feel like anyone who could actually do anything to improve situations truly cared: time and time again you hear that upper management understands employees’ qualms...but they never do anything to deal with the issues.
