Pros

Great company for someone starting out in the IT field or business sector, but with plenty of room to grow and flourish.

Cons

HR isn't the best, but it never is in any company haha.

Pros

relaxed environment if you get a good manager or get to work for a friend who is a manager. good for new grads to get sales experience for their resumes.

Cons

slashes benefits each year while making increasing profits. bonuses are gone. 10% coinsurance means you have to pay up to $6k out of pocket for health expenses (on top of your copays/premium). Instituted health plan requirements so they can raise your premium if you don't hit certain health/weight targets. dead-end job unless you are friends with the right people. stingy paid time off/ holidays. bad weather policies put employees at risk - they take forever to make a determination about letting people leave early or being closed, so you will have to risk your life on the roads unless you use some of your limited PTO. they don't allow people to work from home either. no one in HR can give you a straight answer about any policy. for a woman-owned company, not very supportive of working moms (unless you get the right manager). they just got some bad feedback from a "best places to work" survey, so expect some biased reviews from the cheerleaders.

Pros

Good environment with friendly people and laid back atmosphere. Perfect place to work if you want to come out of college and not do any work and just collect a paycheck that allows you to barely live.

Cons

Like I said this job is a complete joke. You're forced to call on accounts where most of them you can't even sell to. It doesn't matter how good you are at your job. Then you're forced to watch the people around you get handed buying accounts as other employees leave (most of them do) which leaves you with the disgusting taste in your mouth watching less intelligent worse sales people make more money than you do because of the lucky situation they were placed in. Complaining to management and making them understand your situation is nearly impossible because all they care about is the numbers. They choose to ignore the information given to them about each account and customer that you call on and instead look at your numbers to determine your success. If you're okay with making 30,000 a year in a dead end job where you have to be there at least a year so that you can then be promoted to a "licensing specialist" and make 40k a year then by all means go ahead. If you're looking to work hard and form a real career and make real money then steer clear. I don't understand how the SM SLED department makes any money when you look around and see most of your peers struggling to get small sales.
