Very typical Korean company. Very poor management. The management think they can abuse people and system as long as they pay the money. Very silly culture. People pretend that they are working on some project "real" with "real" customers, only because they dare not to show that they are not capable at all to the HQ. Most of the experienced and good people already left. the company has acquired several companies in the past. They paid a lot but don't care about keeping talented people at all. Two things you need to learn if you were not a Korean: 1) speak Korean, 2) do smoke.

No real engineering occurs here. There are no architects leading projects. It's a bunch of individuals that just happen to be working in a group. There is no leadership, yet your tasks are dictated to you by management. There is no collaboration between engineers. The original HR crew (Link-a media) was replaced by Korean selected HR personnel, they don't give one iota of a care to the employee. They are strictly there for the company. Security gets in the way of doing your job. Wrongly implemented agile work environment is a train bearing down on you, and you are tied to the tracks. Micromanaged to the hilt. And a key point. This is the Silicon Valley. In the USA. Not Korea! What good is it to hire the best and brightest, then handcuff them. Don't work here. Find another place.
