Pros

Nothing basically Direct staff do all the work while the company gets $150-$180 per hour for each insurance. If you want your time to be waste, work here please

Cons

The main owner travels the world while the clients gets some terrible programs/services and you cant do nothing about it because supervisors are too lazy to add them in the report. Lets quote a parent who said the supervisors adds and manipulates the report in order to trick the insurance of the “ real progress” the kid has made. THIS REAL SHOWS YOU HOW DISGUSTING IS WORKING FOR THE COMPANY IS.

Dear Employee, SLEA is open to reviews that contain quality feedback to which we can find real solutions and make SLEA a better place to work. Unfortunately, your review offers little to no constructive information. The hourly rate you claim SLEA is paid for services is incorrect, client satisfaction has never been better, and our supervisory team continues to elevate their education and skill set to provide guidance to staff. We find that attacks on the executive director are without any merit and quite frankly, immature. She started this company 30+ years ago… given the time and work over the many years establishing the practice, she absolutely deserves to take time off and be with her family. She provides employment for 250 employees and still shows up almost daily to further enhances our multidisciplinary services. It’s a shame that a current employee would have such feelings. Having said that, we hope you have begun your job search and wish you well. Thank you!

Pros

I enjoy servicing the kiddos and connecting with the families on the growth & improvement of their child. Its fulfilling to build these relationships. As for the company, managements has improved. I enjoying having Lauren as a clinical director as she shows true interest in helping staff. HR Director is much better than previous HR persons in the past. She responds quickly to my questions and benefits are much better this year! Operations manager Olga is hard to get a hold of but super helpful when I reach her. Overall, I think the new leading team does a wonderful job. My co-workers are great and super supportive. Pay and benefits are good.

Cons

Driving around the city is tiring, lots of documentation, very little appreciation. The Executive Director changes contracts multiple times throughout the year (unstable feeling) and then seems resentful about giving me (and some co-workers) a decent contract. I cant disagree with other reviews that say she is greedy and only cares about making money. She can be extremely cynical and unkind when she is upset. I do not feel she appreciates the work staff do.

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand the value of our staff and under the guidance of our Executive Director, our senior management team is empowered to build strong relationships, provide quality services, and more importantly, ensure our staff feel appreciated. Our Executive Director has an open door policy where staff should feel comfortable enough sharing concerns or dissatisfaction. Her diligent involvement in the practice with staff and operations is what sets her apart. Without her perseverance in helping kids with disabilities, her passion and commitment, this practice would not be possible. Starting from her home 30 plus years ago to now having 3 offices and employing 250 staff members, the level of dedication from our Executive Director speaks volumes. Our industry and company has experienced many changes throughout the years in which we’ve needed to renegotiate contracts but not without careful review of market value along with the consideration of our benefits packages, 401k plans, vacation, holidays, continued education reimbursement and more. The company contributes an incredible amount of money towards these benefits to ensure our staff live healthy lives. We offer competitive wages and all-inclusive benefits that as a whole, is incredibly generous. SLEA has grown tremendously and at times, assignments may require staff to travel to different work sites but it isn’t permanent and we work diligently to ensure our staff’s commutes are as limited as possible. Having said that, we deeply appreciate the flexibility of our staff who go the extra mile to meet our client’s needs. SLEA has been in business for over 30 years and we are proud of what we’ve built, the lives we’ve changed and the work opportunities we’ve given. If you’re an active employee, we welcome you to reach out to us directly so we can discuss improvement opportunities.
