Pros

The projects are large-scale and impactful, the resources for learning on incredible as well as mentorship opportunities, and the small group of Landscape Architects are really amazing people.

Cons

It can be difficult being a design group nestled within an engineering firm, and a corporate structure can be stifling, but leadership is strong.

LIttle room for growth

Pros

The vacation and health benefits are good.

Cons

There is really no room for growth or promotion if you work in the corporate operations of the company. I worked there for many years and was only promoted one time. I was told I would never have the opportunity to become a principal. Only register engineers/planners can get promoted to principal. Management's communication with the overall corporate staff is almost non-existent. Educational and skills training is sporadic at best.

We value all of our employees, and our corporate service groups are an integral part of our success as an organization. Just as our clients rely on our capabilities in engineering, planning, and landscape architecture, we rely on the expertise of our corporate service professionals to move our business forward. Growth opportunities for becoming a principal are evaluated on a range of factors and determined on a case-by-case basis. Dave Montebello
