Pros

With a great company reputation, it is a great place to work. People stay here for many years because of how great of a place it is. Everyone is welcoming and friendly and they want you to succeed. I have learned so much from being here and I am thankful for the opportunities I am provided.

Cons

Considering this company has been around for quite some time, some of their processes are outdated. They are working on updating and they are aware of the changes needed to be made. It's a great time to be here to see the changes as they happen! :)

Old fashioned company, no desire to improve work environment

Pros

Money, that's about it and usually the only reason people take a job here.

Cons

-Old fashioned company morals and upper management -Lack of diversity, not an inclusive environment for diverse communities -Despite feedback given, higher-ups don't improve anything, no matter the staff turnover, they never learn or improve -Problematic upper management, I have heard some troubling stories about people who still work there. -Work / life balance... non-existent. Work is your life here.

We strive to make all our colleagues feel welcome and included in our workplace, valued and appreciated for their efforts, and that their perspectives and opinions matter, while providing balance between project efforts and important time away from work. We regret this wasn’t your experience. Through SRF’s active Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee we have established goals to ensure we are making progress on our efforts for a diverse and inclusive workplace, please see SRF DEI (https://www.srfconsulting.com/about-srf/diversity-equity-inclusion/) for more information. Thank you for this valuable feedback as we look to continually improve our organization. – Todd Polum, CEO/President

Working at SRF

Pros

SRF intrigued me at first for their expansive reach in the engineering, traffic, and planning fields. SRF seemed like a good place to expand my knowledge and work on a large variety of types of projects. After working here for 8 months this could not be more true. Also at SRF the senior level employees are willing to spend time with entry level/younger employees to teach, encourage, and guide them on the path to achieve their career goals. Lastly, a brand new modern office conveniently located off of I-394 and Highway 100 is just the cherry on top!

Cons

SRF encourages very high work loads, which is fine, but due to this sometimes there is a lack of communication. Employees, especially Associates and above can get overwhelmed in their own work and are unable to follow up on requests for information from people outside their team. Emails get filtered out in level of importance and follow ups are usually required for those that fall to the bottom.

We're excited to learn you've enjoyed the project variety and senior staff mentorship made available to you. At SRF, our employees are the most valued resource, and we see each hire as an investment in our company's future. Our goal is to provide applicable training, challenging work, and growth opportunities. We strive to provide a balanced approach so everyone can feel a good sense of accomplishment and value without feeling overextended. However, a consulting firm's pace is a fast one, and sometimes workload demands can make communication more challenging. We are focused on continually improving, and appreciate you sharing this constructive feedback. I encourage you to work with your group leaders to ensure your communication needs are met. We agree with your assessment that company communication is essential. As a 100% ESOP company, we all succeed together. As such, it remains important for us to communicate company progress and goals on a regular basis. Thank you for taking the time to provide us a review. Todd Polum President
