Pros

Get to work with good people.

Cons

I worked in the same Garage for 24 years, the one by Mt.Zion Rd. Ky, I never took a sick day off, was never late, would cash my vacation time in rather then take the time the off, was a loyal model employee even became the safety director, But then recently I got real sick and had to have surgery to remove a tumor from my shoulder, was also told that I had stage four lung cancer, I was un able to work for weeks waiting to have surgery because of covid 19 my appointment took a lot longer to schedule, long story short they fired me for not coming back to work and was forced to take early retirement when I only had 2 an a half more years to get my full retirement benefits that I worked whole life only to get nothing out of it because I am sick with cancer basically, So to anyone thinking of getting a job at this company please think twice.

Pros

Paid weekly. OT after 8 hours. Annual raises. This company is growing like weeds with their constant buyouts of smaller companies. SRM offers immediate $1/hr raises after the buyouts to the drivers they keep. $100/wkly max 401K match. Christmas Bonus. Some of these perks are after so much time in and for non-union locations only. They also offer PTO (see cons) and vacation as well as health/dental/vision/life insurance.

Cons

As the company grows the work/job radius shrinks for each plant as to not conflict with the other location’s operations which results in drastically less work and hours for drivers with nearly every buyout. They’re constantly changing their annual raise formulas and PTO/Vacation policies to suit the company’s desires. They also run on seniority regarding assignment priority, but tend to screw that up by picking favorites and convenience over policies. If a location isn’t union when it’s bought then I highly recommend becoming a union even at risk of them closing the location or firing everyone. 3 documented mistakes (of any kind) at the most and they’ll fire you as everyone is replaceable. Trust absolutely nobody as it’s very much like high school where everyone gossips and complains about everyone and everything. Management sees everything with their hindsight super powers and have zero empathy for mistakes so just never EVER make them.
