I am going to be completely honest here.
At first, this seemed like a GREAT opportunity, I was told that they were giving promotions fairly quickly (2-3 months in was the standard). Unfortunately, after we got out of training, this stopped and we were not told anything about it. I was also put on a very bad team, where the morale was low and the supervisor refused to recommend us for promotion even though our numbers were good. In a nutshell...
1. Did not tell us that the promotional schedule had changed, got us all hyped up in training, and then it was changed.
2. Was LIED to by my manager MULTIPLE times about how to get promoted. There was always some training that I needed to do or something that I was missing. I was given the run around for the entire year that i was there.
3. My supervisor refused to put anyone up for promotion after she was asked by her supervisor to recommend someone and our numbers were good. She did this to make her look good since we would keep doing our best job to get promoted.
4. We were told that no matter what the customer told us over the phone, we had to sit and take it. I was cussed at, yelled at, and physically threatened twice and nothing was done about it nor could I hang up.
5. My wishes were not taken into consideration. I do not like to be micromanaged(who does) and was made to sit by my manager even after I requested to move to another open seat which was denied.
6. The workers there are very negative as well as upper management, if you are a woman, expect to dress very conservatively. Even if it doesn't break the dresscode, they will report you..thats how petty they are.
7. Management is so negatively. I have a new job(review pending) and because I have had such a bad experience here, they will not allow me to move up at my new job even though I am qualified. I feel like I am working at SWBC part 2. I will now have to leave this job and start ALL OVER AGAIN, despite having good reviews and numbers.
8. Total lack of diversity in other divisions besides customer service. I checked 20 depts, and in the majority of those there are not minorities. In a city with a minority percentage of over 60%, why does it not reflect in your management workforce?
