Pros

The people are simply great! They care, they’re passionate, and they always bring a service level that’s important and needed

Cons

The political bureaucracy is very stressful. There is also a disconnect from leadership to the people in that the senior leaders don’t truly want to listen to what their people are saying. And once you’re not in a favorable position of your leaders or you do something that offends them - you’re likely to be targeted to be exited from the company.

Pros

Safelite is a great place to learn and be stretched as a person, you’ll learn to think on your feet, look at all the angles for problems you may have and learn as you go. As long as you're willing to learn, you will succeed.

Cons

Local management is inconsistent and implements policies just to satisfy the higher ups at corporate. They are all too willing to “ look the other way” or “not ask any questions” when policies are being violated...as long as you’re a successful technician. There is an air of “ do whatever you want, however you want as long as you dont get caught and make our store money” Local (store) management also has a habit of making you feel about two inches tall when you make a mistake, but turns around and praises the policy violating employess as if they’re the gods of the auto glass industry. Actions like these breed discontentment, and awful morale within the workforce.

Pros

Decent pay, if your willing to suck it up and do an enormous amount of work.

Cons

Managers don’t know what they are doing. Tell you to do one thing, get mad and ask why your doing what they told you to do. I spent 11 years there and watch a lot of people bend and break. It’s a never ending losing battle. They pile the work on, enough to keep you busy for 10-12 hours but only let you clock 8. I Did enough work for 2 full time people, but only got 40 hours a week. I left because I got told I would never make any more money then I was making, because I had capped out the hourly rate, and I don’t know about you, but I go to work everyday in hopes of getting a raise for working hard everyday.
