Pros

- fully remote environment and has the infrastructure in place to ensure that the same collaboration that is had in office is just as effective remote - competitive pay, incredible benefits - leadership cares about their employees and takes the time to know everyone - coworkers are all friendly and supportive - the mission, if there is any reason to work here above all else it is the mission, helping the most vulnerable population is why all of us get out of bed in the morning and work and everyone from CEO down is committed to it and works together to achieve better care for those with dementia

Cons

Startup environment so things change constantly, but that comes with the territory of a company figuring out the most effective way to do business Some inconsistencies in processes that can change month to month Management sometimes has inconsistent messaging

Pros

I have worked with dozens of startup companies in my career, and I can honestly say that SafelyYou is one of the most well organized, supportive companies I have worked for. The industry served attracts truly kind individuals who are committed to the mission. The company was built in such a thoughtful way, investing resources in both the growth of the product and the team. Every member of management schedules time during their busy week to connect with anyone who might want to chat. Shirley the COO is awesome. It is great to have the opportunity to work with such a strong female leader who cares so much about the success of her teams and the company. George the CEO is so intelligent and dedicated to being a good mentor. Every department head is an expert in their field. Employees enjoy the support of a great HR team and a number of benefits that include full health coverage, 401K, and additional perks to support working from home, wellness, personal growth. Management recognizes the importance of taking care of your mental health and that is reflected in the PTO policy.

Cons

Working in a startup structure can be messy, and the inherently chaotic nature of this type/size of business is not for everyone. Sometimes you do work long hours to finish a project or meet a goal, but it never goes unrecognized. I will say that if a gap in a process is flagged or you speak up about a challenge, you are heard. Even on days that I get frustrated I am still happy to be here.

Pros

- You get to truly help people. SafelyYou, their tech, and their people are completely reshaping the standard of care for people with dementia. Using AI tech to detect falls quickly is only part of the equation. Another important part is working with the communities that care for people with dementia to detect and prevent falls before they happen. - The people genuinely care. Every person I have met, talked to, and worked with cares...from the CEO to the members on my team, and everyone in between. Management shows empathy and solidarity, even in times where tough decisions have to be made. - Meaningful work. Many companies put out all sorts of propaganda, both publicly and to their employees, about how they are improving people's lives. SafelyYou is different, in that, it does not need to do this, it is simply true. - Innovative. I get to work with awesome tech every day. Decisions on specific technologies are decided by the experts and engineers that specialize in those technologies. Conversely, it is also nice that tech decisions are not made by people who do not understand the tech. - Amazing culture. All of the above also come into play here, but I feel it important to point out that every person I have worked with shows grit, determination, and integrity in all that they do. We hold each other accountable, we help each other, and we care about one another. - Other pros include: Work from home; quarterly stipends for office equipment, continued learning, and healthy living; top-shelf equipment; and (likely) a few things I'm not remembering.

Cons

I have never worked for a company that I had nothing to put in the "Cons" box...until now.
