Pros
I convinced three of my former companies to purchase SFDC due to my direct efforts and I loved the idea of the company so much that I joined the Strategic team. Cons
Working in a non-Core team at Salesforce can be challenging, with limited control and access to accounts. The Core team often prioritizes their own products over other competing products, leading to missed opportunities and frustration. Despite being hired as a Co-Prime, non-Core reps often find themselves waiting on Core teams and dealing with obstacles in account access. Writing detailed sales plans and waiting for Core approvals can be time-consuming. Some reps choose to take matters into their own hands, but this can lead to conflicts with the Core team. In interviews for Salesforce sales roles, it's recommended to consider the Core role for more control and opportunities. Non-Core roles may come with challenges and limitations due to Core's influence.
