It’s a way to get in to the industry but wouldn’t bank on this being a long term career unless you’re part of the “good ole boy club..” The pay and benefits are decent, but there is a SERIOUS lack of support from management. They promise to provide the training, resources and tools needed to succeed, and then don't deliver on any of it. They throw you to the wolves with barely a half can of dog food and expect you to come back with domesticated dogs. Managers can rarely be reached nor return calls, texts and emails when support or help is needed to become better at the job.
They will say the first year's quota is just a benchmark and really just a ramping up period to build a pipeline. NOT true, they will terminate if not on target even if the hard work and dedication is put in with no tools or support to build that pipeline as requested.
Upper management has zero desire to get to know their sales staff as well. How can one properly manage a sales team if they don't know them or anything about them? The company also puts so much extra, irrelevant tasks on the RM’s plates, like re-writing training material, marketing, constantly changing processes, etc. that they don't have the time to do what they are supposed to; which is to provide support to their sales staff, and condition/train their sales staff to be successful. The sales meetings are basically a tear down session where they’ll say how poorly everyone doing but give absolutely zero substance or direction on how to do better.
They make it sound promising but you WILL be let down and set up for failure unless you’re, again, in the “good ole boy club.” They try and run the company like a big corporation but are long line family owned business that has zero corporate world experience. They are losing market share and good sales people daily to their competitors due to not giving the tools necessary to some extremely talented sales people, constantly increasing prices/over pricing their products, and having extremely long lead times for delivery that their competitors could do for 20% less in price and deliver in half the amount of time.
There’s a reason they have so many negative reviews, heed the advice and info given in the reviews before accepting a position here.
