The work environment is missing encouragement. No matter how hard you try, how many people you bring in as regular customers there is no reward. There was a lot of re forming if I could say that while I was there, and all that mattered was that what corporate said got done. I loved working with the people and loved all our dear customers, but felt that the pay was too low for the fact that we were dealing with peoples medications etc. Getting a great compliment from a customer was never taken into consideration when it was time for reviews, but other petty things weighed more. I would have a line 10 deep and while at the register knew all 10 names and their medications and would have them pulled so people wouldn't have to wait, which was very impressive to the customer, but the management would almost look down on that. also when I had tried using coupons we had received from a drug company to help a patient who couldn't afford his drugs it was looked down on. I have to add that I was hired full time but with in 2 weeks was cut just 2 hours to be part time, so I had to wait a full years for health insurance and benefits. I guess that was one way on cutting costs in those hard times.
