Going to Hell in a Bucket

Pros

Share in the Struggling & Demeaning Work Environment with fellow Associates.

Cons

Each year they cut, cut, cut, affecting the associate... The CEO hits his numbers, getting bonuses to retire them for life, at the cost of the associate... Then the next CEO comes in, does the same.... Then the next CEO comes in and does the same.... Each year is cut in benefits, increase in premiums, with an annual raise that doesn't cover the increase... Each year, more work required on less manpower... It is now to the point of totally unrealistic... Many associates with great knowledge and experience are jumping ship... Why? Because this company is going to hell in a bucket, but at least the upper ones are enjoying the ride...

Pros

Decent pay, 401k match to 6%, employee stock purchase program was good benefit. I have heard that they may have increased paid time off for having a child for either parent, but not certain.

Cons

Hate to say it, but not a place where the people conducting the day to day operations are really appreciated. Started as an hourly supervisor, was a manager for over 7 years. Every year in feburary they roll out new changes to eliminate long tenured positions(hourly employees) to reduce costs so the shareholders see more profits. I feel for those still there, because I know the workload and expectations continue increase, compensation does not, nor does any appreciation for what you are accomplishing. I don't say any of this because I am bitter, I say this because now that I am on the outside looking in.
