Pros

On third shift I was able to keep my own pace, most of the time. Don't have to deal with customers and the extra badge that brings. Also, fewer management you have to deal with.

Cons

The cons are the reasons I left. For one, only two or three people were expected to work hard, while everyone else got away with slacking. When I say slacking, I mean only stocking three skids a night. I would be stocking three or more departments singlehandedly, while a good chunk of my coworkers napped, hung out, joked around, or fought with each other. Also, a coworker who did work was punched in the break room by a well-known agitator at the store, and management failed to do anything about it. So, those are the cons unless you were born with a lucky key to slack off, then this is the place for you.

Pros

Moved wage to $9.50 an hour in WI. It's a job

Cons

Have to wait 1 year to get benefits, and then you have to be working an average of 30 hours a week so getting benefits is slim to none. Very rarely ever have 2 consecutive days off You end up doing other peoples work, for instance I got off at 9, but as soon as I was done with bakery (which is where I work) I had to go help other people with their jobs. No one was allowed to leave until it was done. I ended up staying past 10 PM and had to get up the next day at 5 AM to be there by 5:30 They do not care if you get sick, even when they say they do..they do not doctors note or not. No anti-fatigue mats for your feet anywhere, so if you are working long hours expect to be in pain. They act like they care for their employees but they don't

Pros

Best reason to work at Sam's Club is the free membership. Beside the membership being free sams club sometimes has a yearly bounus.

Cons

Where to begin everyday was understaffed with no help from management. Management didn't care about the poor working conditions or the associates who had to deal with the bulk of it. All anyone cared about including regional managers was PLUS. In short if you want to be mislead and mistreated work for this company.
