Pros

The BEST thing about working for this company is the ability to work from home. Who knew? Doesn't change the job itself, but sure does make it easier to deal with the day to day madness that is customer service.

Cons

Not enough time off. They have a point system in place that is way skewed and not in the employees favor either. Training for certain positions is ridiculously long - having endured the 32 plus weeks, I get why training for a $15 an hour job necessitates almost ONE entire year to train for.

Pros

- Ability to work from home in certain positions - Great benefits package - 4% 401(k) match One of the things that I love about Sanmar is that there are so many personality types here and they have no problem helping you find a team that works with your style. Plenty of trust and freedom to do my job. I actually feel empowered to make decisions that I feel are best for our customers and the company, which is something I've never felt in most other jobs I've held. Everyone is really friendly in office. Remote is a little harder but I do give kudos for the sales management for trying to create an environment to make us feel included. GREAT work/life balance. It's highly encouraged which is refreshing.

Cons

- High volumes of sales calls make it hard to focus on your accounts and goals. - Wish PTO was accrued faster. I never feel like I have much banked for vacations AND emergency sick time since it's all the same pool.

Pros

They actively work to provide good pay and benefits for their supervisors. Some leaders also work hard to provide development opportunities. The leadership tries to maintain a culture of teamwork and fun.

Cons

Despite the attempts of the leadership to provide the aforementioned teamwork and fun culture, the stress caused by LONG hours and the stress of meeting extremely strenuous deadlines and production minima results in a lot of conflict and distress. The hardest part as a Production Supervisor was trying to motivate people to work their hardest even through upwards of 10 hours of overtime per week while maintaining their minimum production statistics, while diffusing the constant conflicts that occur among the team members as a result. The stress is also present for the Supervisors, who have to fight these fires and assuage the frustration of the hourly employees.
