Pros

Wonderful, hardworking people on the staff level and some really cool managers. Good retirement.

Cons

The sincere, knowledgeable, & talented staff with ideas and drive that want to share the best of their time & talent for the highest benefit of the company (i.e. not self serving but unselfishly) are not seen as an asset. At all. Rather, These employees are seen as quite opposite. Frankly. Leadership has a rather cynical view of good employees that have terrific, intangible gifts: Leadership sees these staff as “something” to be regulated and kept in its place: Employees are neither good or valuable their strictly meant to be functional & watched. Good & Great employees- never really knowing what the best measure of their worth is outside of that. All the while, Leadership, reminding the employee constantly that they are only to stay in their cube unless specifically allowed out for 15 minutes twice & one 1/2 hour. (Otherwise... they must be up to something bad. Well, I mean, unless you’re buddies with them or in the proper level of the cast system but I digress.) So, Rather, all employees that want to share their best that don’t fit (leaderships) belief of who you should be on their paper, are seen as some sort of threat. Divergent, I guess. I don’t mean to sound clandestine, but this is all very hard to reconcile: How could any company expect to be identified as “good” while at the same time, (said company) sees hardworking people that are bright, honest & sincere that are treated like... their neither. Just pawns. The objective can only be identified as above all, never let the employee see their own worth... unless they dumb down & buddy up.

Pros

Great experience in working with members in the SCC community with their medical needs and accessing their medical care through their State of CA Medi-Cal benefits. Getting to know the system in managed health care.

Cons

Micro Managed. Lots of favoritism. No room for career progression. currently in process of getting their first Union contract through SEIU 521, Which was initiated and organized by a few Senior Reps of the company to assist the entire organization to career fairness, equality and Transparency.
