We are very pleased you find the work experience provided at S&L to be “amazing.” It is very true that we have a tenured staff of engineers at S&L, and it is a point of pride for us that 20% of our employees have remained with the firm for 25+ years. It is because of their depth of knowledge we are able to provide our less experienced engineers the mentorship needed to build a foundation for their careers, and we genuinely value their dedication. We firmly believe in promoting from within, and do recognize in doing so we have a responsibility to our employees to provide management training as they advance their careers into supervisory positions. Although we provide ongoing management training sessions in-house, we do understand it can be beneficial to seek an outside perspective. As a result, last year we undertook an initiative to begin providing formal leadership training and partnered with an outside firm specializing in this area. All employees on our leadership team have been attending the first sessions of what will be a larger curriculum dedicated to honing the skills required to continue to grow as successful leaders.
