Sargent & Lundy reviews

First week was horrific, office manager told me they weren't my babysitter as an introduction and was berated for not knowing who my supervisor was (it wasn't who HR provided). Had to crawl on the floor to set up workstation while coworkers stood and watched. Tried to engage new coworkers and in an office of 30 people nobody ever ate lunch or said hi to each other. Screamed at on the phone for not knowing a very specific nuclear process in week 3 of working there (was new to industry). Tried to ask questions and wouldn't get a response for 2+days with no other contact person. Only woman in office acted as secretary and ordered everything, said there was no engineering work for her to do, yet every man was too busy to look up. It was the most dystopian place I've ever worked.

-Managers are alpha-male bullies. -Managers are clams who deceive and are not transparent. -Managers treat different employees differently. -No promotions even with hard work, while less talented folks who make elementary mistakes rise up the ladder. -Managers put employees in a position to fail, and then blame them when something goes wrong. -Too many young managers who are immature and inexperienced and oversimplify things. Guys that are early 30s are managers, yet that don't have people skills. That's like having a loaded gun because with such egos they are easily retaliatory.
