Pros

Growing company don't let that fool you.

Cons

STAY AWAY. FAR FAR AWAY If Schulte is buying your hotel find a new job! They call it 'schultfying' which means slash benefits, eliminate tenure, no employee will have vacation for a year no matter how long they have been at the hotel or paid holidays and cut the staff in half. They are proud of how they destroy the hotels moral. Trust me every hotel employee with never forget the date Schulte takes over. Senior management is only concerned with the investors opinion and they have annual layoffs to the corporate team so they look like they are being proactive while ignoring the field/ hotels completely all year long.

Pros

Attention to detail in reporting. Your on-property staff can be awesome. Big and growing, which means lots of promotional opportunities.

Cons

Disorganized and growing too fast. People promoted quickly before they should be in order to quickly fill open positions. I notice many review responses from Schulte mention that growth is good because more opportunities, but you are really just putting semi-clueless people in positions before they are ready. Off-property leadership function more like middle-men and less like teachers/leaders. Often seem in over their head. Benefits are atrocious. Company wide initiatives are rolled out in a really messy way. "I highly encourage you to contact Human Resources to discuss your concerns, as that's a much more productive means of addressing any issues." Even the tone of this previous response shows how they are. Does this staff member who responded know whether or not the employee already reached out internally as well or had one-on-ones? Has HR made themselves available enough for employees to feel comfortable enough? Could not even tell you the name of an HR team member. Huge disconnect between property and Schulte itself. Leadership takes success for property successes, criticizes and disassociates during property failures.
