Schulte Hospitality Group reviews

Please stay away from this company. I have worked at 4+ hotels and this is the first hotel that does not pay you for holidays if you are an hourly employee. Every hotel that I have worked at pays you 8 hours for the day and if you are not off it would just be time and a half. This company puts your holiday into your PTO. However, you do not get a 90 day probation; you get a 4-month probation so that means no PTO for 4 months so if there’s a holiday in that time, you will not be paid unless you work that day (for regular pay). I was not told about the holiday situation when I was interviewing. Schulte does not care about their hourly employees. They do *not* match your 401k AT ALL. The health benefits are mediocre and management is sub par. There is no appreciation. When you start, you are left to the wolves and figuring things out for yourself. Don’t bother asking for help because they don’t even know!

I was robbed at gunpoint while working for Schulte and never heard a word from anybody other than my direct managers who weren't with Schulte before they took over the property. I even heard later that they were suspicious of me and thought I was working with the robbers despite the fact they robbed two other hotels in the area the same night and I worked with detectives to get them caught. Pretty much the norm for Schulte. It would have been nice to maybe have somebody pretend like they cared about me potentially losing my life in Schulte. Also, low pay, bad benefits, and horrible upper incompetent management. Most companies at least pretend to care about their employees for their image. The interesting thing about Schulte is that they don't care and they don't give a rip who knows it. Don't believe me? Look at the other reviews. Find yourself literally any other hotel management to work for. They all aren't perfect, but I can guarantee they're better than Schulte.
