Pros

Working with highly motivated teams full of talented people that are really passionate about the problems they are solving each day is incredibly motivating. Everyone is very generous with their time and enjoys talking about their work when asked.

Cons

As is true of many startups, there's a lot of challenges to tackle and the pace of the work is fast. Successful employees at Science Corporation are adept at recognizing when a project isn't working out, communicating that fact, and then switching gears onto something new.

Pros

- Free high-quality lunch every day - Social coworkers - Nice swag

Cons

- Dysfunctional management so little progress is made, which resulted in the company almost losing their funding source in early 2024. - Fear-based, surveillance-based and toxic culture. - The CEO will threaten to fire you multiple times with crunch and is weak technically. - People are fired easily (no job security) so there is constant pressure for more work since your job is held hostage (poor WLB). Strong pressure to avoid PTO as you are judged. You're also expected to use your PTO for holidays. - Lies about ethical standards. - 5 days in the office (this is the weakest con).

Pros

Decent salaries, somewhat nice people.

Cons

Overwhelmingly toxic culture. Super cliquey. CEO will yell at you. Nothing is given any thought. Everything is done the cheapest and fastest way possible and pathetically held together by a few strands of duct tape. Forces everybody to be on-site 5 days a week unless they’re upper management. CEO is rude.
