Pros

Over-all good working environment, pretty decent compensation. Hours are nice if you're not working a nurses 12 hour shift. Most departments seem to have pretty laid-back management, which is nice for work/life balance.

Cons

Compensation could easily be better. One disadvantage is that it seems difficult to move up the salary scale, even if you're taking on more responsibilities. Not all positions seem to pay equally, even considering experience and performance.
