Business Outlook
Pros
The National Council does the best they can; but there is too much trust placed in the hands of the local Scout executives. If someone runs into an issue with their Scout executive it does not matter about working for the "Boy Scouts". Each council is run as a stand alone not for profit. Training is good at the National level, pay is fair. If you can make it through the first TEN years then the retirement is good.
Cons
Ten people in management with a professional staff of 13 - problem here? National sold the board on the new Scout executive; but he does not have the skill set to do the job. Moral is in the tank.
