Pros

Great team of developers to work with. It truly felt like everyone wanted you to succeed. They have a strong product and code base to work with if you're a software engineer. They have good processes for developing products with product owners, scrum masters, managers, etc.

Cons

They office setup needs be more aligned with a modern company for software engineering. The software 'house' as its call is literally a house not an office building. Instead of yearly bonuses they spend more on socializing, training, facilities, etc.

Pros

Good work/life balance. The executive team truly wants their employees to be happy. There is a lot of flexibility as long as you work hard and get your job done. Nice opportunities for team building, volunteering. Beautiful campus and a feeling of excitement when it comes to the problems the company is tackling. Very much an attitude of "if it needs to be built, we will build it." A spirit of ingenuity.

Cons

People often feel micromanaged. It's a family-run business without a board of directors, so the direction of the company is at the whim of the family members. Sometimes there is misalignment among the executive team. The company also sometimes gets mired in the details of our literally hundreds of products and loses seeing the bigger picture, failing to find focus on the products that are really what we should all be aligned on.

Pros

Enthusiastic CEO, quality product, loyalty of colleagues to company, fun company-wide team building events/activities, flexible schedule

Cons

CEO is gone 95% of time, no continuity of leadership, loyal longstanding management resistant/fearful of change in order to improve process. Heard too many times, “That’s the way we’ve always done it. “. Lots of unwelcome gossip amongst employees about each other.

Pros

Engaged leadership team, innovative products, dedicated co-workers, competitive salary and benefits. ScriptPro is such a great place to come to work every day. Many added benefits like the awesome fitness center w/ free membership for employee and spouse, paid time off for volunteering and employee appreciation events.

Cons

Communication can be challenging in a quickly-changing industry.

Pros

Working at Scriptpro taught me a lot during my time there for close to four years. In that time frame I learned a lot in terms of team building, being accountable for your actions, and overall understanding when you need to own something. The team and the company itself provide me with a lot of chances to grow, and even allowed me to connect with several employees who became great friends. I learned many skills that I would be able to take forward into future job positions, and there are many team building activities handled by members within each team itself. Except...

Cons

Those stuck within the workflow support team, and those placed under teams with certain managers. I will not name them directly, but know that working here you will be at the fate of whatever mood your manager percieves you in. The downside to them is that some of them in certain departments are honestly quite lazy, and very disconnected from the teams they work with. They aren't aware of all the things ongoing within the company, and in truth it becomes more of a brownnosing enviorment to stay around. For example there was one employee who spent close to three years not doing his job in the company and underperforming and in some cases creating more work for other members of the team. Yet, at the end of the day he was allowed to stay on until enough complaints were brought up to HR simply because he was friends with the manager. This goes into line with other individuals throughout the company as well, many of them are just friends with the managers and thus secure there roles and positions. There is also another issue, in that many members of the staff are very incline to keep certain information or skills to themselves and are not willing to share the information. The feeling that you need to validate your own importance exists here with the company, otherwise you'll be passed over for promotion or have a less likely chance to be terminated due to the importance you place yourself as.

Pros

Commitment to patient safety, strong software team, easy to access location, fitness center with free classes, clean and modern buildings.

Cons

Lack of management: Some managers do not have the capacity to spend time with their teams. No regular check-ins and reviews aren’t meaningful. No clear path for career advancement. You are lucky to get time with your manager. Executive oversight: No decisions can be made without an executive (family member). Communication: Lack of transparency results in gossiping which overall feels toxic. Emotion over metrics: Work is guided more by emotion instead of metrics. It is hard to know why you are working on a project other than the fact that the CEO said so. Policies over Performance: There is strict yet inconsistent oversight over unplanned paid-time-off (sick days, basically), time tracking, and remote working policies. Meetings will totally derail if there are typos or formatting inconsistencies in documentation. Many procedures based on shuffling of hardcopy paperwork. Encouragement: there is not a culture of encouragement, even a simple “nice job.” If feedback and encouragement matters to you, you will miss this here.
