6 day work week They called it an eight hour shift… but it was actually nine and a half hours to ten hours per day. Cafeteria is too small for all the workers they send to lunch at the same time, it is sad to have to stand all your 60 hrs per week and then have no place to sit even at lunch. Too many union members having to stand all lunch break and use the trash can as a standing table to eat their lunch on. You get 15 min first break, then a 30 min lunch.. so the last five hours of your shift you get no break unless you have to use the bathroom. For as long as the shifts are and working six days a week we should have a third 15 minute break., but all we get is a ten minute bathroom break, if you want to Sit down on your third “break” you have to go to the bathroom stalls to sit. The cafeteria is off limits on your third “break” third “break” is only to use the bathroom only.. if they catch you sitting in the cafeteria or getting a drink or snack exc. you get in trouble because it is a bathroom break only for the last five hours of the day. We have a set time to start work, but there is no set time to get off work… it is a guessing game. example: you should be off at 11:21 but it never happens.. it’s usually about 12:00-12:30.
