Pros

Good people good work environment good technology

Cons

Strategic / advanced development work will often take back seat to the core business of making disk drives. The disk industry is dog-eat-dog and constant technology leap frogging can make this volatile.

Pros

Individuals who are excellent to work with and get to know Flexible schedule (For those who are not bound to working a specific shift) Casual work environment

Cons

No rewards for exceeding expectations, everyone is treated the same. You will be treated the same as the worst person in your department. There is no room for advancement, everyone is stagnant. There is absolutely nothing to aim for or look forward to. It doesn't matter how good you are or how big of difference you make. Everyone is constrained, held back, and equally diminished by the corporate executives and their socialist policies.

Pros

cutting edge technology decent salary and benefits some very competent managers good communication very relaxed environment in mfg and prod devt

Cons

very top heavy - more director level people than technicians; causes turf wars, silos, empire building, effort duplication, etc. Sr management is not diverse for a technology company engineering management is power point driven project management sr management out of touch with what goes on in factory floor and work flow realities- they do not go on floor. Culture does not force engineers to go in factory floor and solve problems but sit at desk Legacy organization- old boys look out for each other, lot of dead wood No accountability for under performers
