Pros

Free snacks/drinks. Some people were cool.

Cons

During my time at Seamgen, I was bullied and harassed by multiple employees. Management was witness to such occurrences and even chimed in to the harassment sometimes. Sales promised apps on a time and monetary budget that was almost never met and the developers were left with long work weeks as a result.

Pros

• Great group of people (and puppies) to work with. It's a family of awesome people that I will keep in touch with forever • Everyone is genuinely talented in their respective fields • Did some of my best work here. The environment is fast-paced and encourages constant learning and experimentation • Great clients to work for and interesting projects • Transparent leadership that really cares about employees, the company, the work environment, and the future • Unlimited PTO • Top notch equipment and software • Amazing location • Diverse group of people (so rare in tech) • Tasty healthy snacks • No micro-management with regard to spyware or any corporate nonsense (not needed). Everyone loves what they do and wants to put out the best work possible • Friendly culture where everyone wants to help each other out wherever possible • The CEO is a good dude who actually knows every employee by name (and their dogs too)

Cons

The only con I can think of is that sometimes we work so hard, we forget to have fun together. Also watch out for some of the front end developers who may force you to drink tequila shots which you might regret later!

Pros

- you will meet some really talented and hardworking individuals - despite all the cons the company could have a great potential - marketing team is amazing - unlimited PTO

Cons

Apply with confidence if you love: - extreme micromanagement - pm nagging people multiple times a day which is disturbing and negatively affects their productivity - drama - gossiping - terrible (or should I say lack of) onboarding process - time tracking - hearing the word “budget” - uncertainty - unhappy people - unrealistic deadlines - poor communication - lack of job security - lack of career development - having to be onsite every single day with no exceptions (WFH is NOT encouraged even if you are sick. Seriously, colleagues showing up sick, coughing and sneezing during meetings and therefore getting others sick is practiced here) - being treated like a contractor even when you are a FTE - having to park in an awful garage which will cost you $175 (they will give you half back but you’ll pay tax on that) - low-end medical and vision insurance (good luck finding a doctor! As for vision, you’re out of network even at LensCrafters) - no 401K match, spousal insurance coverage or any other standard benefits other tech companies provide - lack of company sponsored outings/team building activities. If they ever happen, it’s mostly during lunch or after work hours
