Pros

Great co-workers and decent employee engagement activities. Some managers are good to work with given the limitations of the work environment.

Cons

No raises, I have not had a raise in a long time. The company financial status is poor. High turn-over. Work conditions are unnecessarily stressful. Advancement seams to be based on a requirement to be young and attractive. Long-term employees are rarely advanced. Career advancement is almost non-existent. Managers have ranged from toxic to fantastic with little recourse if you end up with a toxic manager. Sears appears to have an identity crisis with no discernable cultural base. It has changed drastically in the years I have been there.

Pros

Benefits were good, we had a 401k with a match. The health insurance was good and provided a reasonable deductible.

Cons

The match for health insurance kept going up year after year. It would have been nice if the 401k match had gone up.

Pros

Great Co-Workers. Pay was decent. Paid once a month however.

Cons

VP's tell unionized staff, that when "he was done his daily calls, he and his co-workers would go to the beach and enjoy the sun"! Really? So now my staff believe that they can head home after they are done their calls. Great ! On top of that...they rolled out BLACKBERRIES and PLAYBOOKS and spent millions, when iPhone or Android would have been 100% better. They do not solicits feedback from staff. Long term employee, but they are constantly taking away/reducing benefits. Give you a working lay-off as opposed to written layoff in the hopes thy make things as bad as possible, so that you quite.
