Pros

Each day is a learning and teaching experience. I enjoy teaching what I know and learning from other technicians regardless of their tenure. I'll go into a home with a homeowner melting down because their appliance isn't working. Once it's fixed the customer is beyond happy. And that's what it's all about. Making a difference in someone's life. Any time I've needed time off there was never an issue. Any time I've needed help there was never any problem with it. I've made a lot of friends working for Sears and I've taught a lot of technicians how to do their job safely and efficiently. This is one of the rare jobs where you can start as an entry level employee and work your way up, to a management position, based solely on merit.

Cons

The only real "con" i have is the customers who feel they should be given a new appliance when the appliance they have needs a minor repair. It's generally easy to diffuse the issue by explaining how the repair will be quick and easy.

Pros

As a retired military vet, I had a issue finding my niche after I retired from the AF. Luckily this company found my resume on Indeed. I had electrical troubleshooting and refrigeration skills already. They provide the tools and training needed to be a in home service provider. The pay is good and they do offer a decent 401k. The best part is if you are a people person and love to help people with their appliance needs then this is the company for you. You will receive a service van, a company gas card, and a parts card for items you don’t have on hand they can be purchased from local companies to complete the job and get the customer back up and running.

Cons

Some days you will do a lot of driving. Some weeks you can drive up to 800 miles. The scheduler really need to look into making the routes better. I have returned to the same neighborhood 2 days in a row at different locations when I could’ve killed 2 birds with 1 stone.

Growth opportunities, Commissions and Incentives like no other company I've ever seen. Support from Management/ Lead techs/mentors so you don't feel thrown to the wolves. 100% recommend to make a career off of it.

Cons

This is not a 8am to 5pm Job
