Pros

Many opportunities for career development whether it be within your current career direction or in a completely different direction. Gave me flexibility on hours and opportunities to work 4 tens.

Cons

You cannot park on campus, so parking or busing and taking shuttles add a lot of time to a commute if you do not live close by. PTO benefits could be better

Terrible time off, benefits, and other compensation

Pros

They do emphasize work-life balance, however, some employees still end up working 50-60 hour weeks on a regular basis, because additional positions are not approved.

Cons

There is a high turnover currently, about which senior management is in serious denial regarding the reasons. The allotted time off is terrible, sick time is terrible (I think approximately 4 days per year when you start, and after THREE years it goes up), 403b benefits are a joke, 3% after three years, the health care benefits are okay but the deductibles keep climbing.

Pros

Vision and mission, benefits and access to Vera Health Clinic

Cons

Not a lot of growth opportunities, micromanagers are abundant, lack of flexibility in work schedules, way too political
