Pros

SecurCare looks at the whole picture, we can all feel we do not make enough money, that is given. I am treated like my opinion matters. I am asked to be part of the decision process, I am allowed Independence in running my store. These are also things that I look at when deciding to stay with any particular employer. In a day when many employers are pulling benefits, SecurCare is adding benefits...Who else offers Pet Health insurance?

Cons

The pay is what it is, this is offset by the company offering On-Site housing free of charge. The nature of the business does lead to upset customers, if you are not good with people, this is not the job for you. We do work outside in ALL kinds of weather.

Pros

They are logistically diverse/ so they offer transfer opportunities around the country.

Cons

Sadly, anyone who comes in with "real" job experience who can lend some good ideas will be disappointed by the lack of communication and execution. Communication from the top is terrible! In fact, managers are asked they to go online and write positive reviews-(promising that it won't effect their current employment) to counteract the bad ones out there. Instead of actually reading reviews and trying to fix some issues- or valuing employee opinions- they are swept under the rug. Pay is terrible at every level. Regionals are expected to hush and say "yes" and keep opinions to themselves. Can't even approve a 50cent raise at the Regional level for an employee who may leave to retain them, yet managers are graded harshly on employee turn-over #s even if employees are leaving to better thier financial situation. There is quite a bit of back-biting, sabatoging, and secretism and no one will directly come and give you feedback- good, bad or indifferent. If you want to track your progress - you have to overhear from the thick gossip web that runs deep from the top to the bottom. Honestly, I will be shocked if they stay in business for 10 more years unless a major Change from the top happens.

Pros

There are no pros left to job when company did a merge.

Cons

No pay increases even though our work is doubling or tripling but the company is making 24.5 million more in the 2020 4th quarter over 2019, They say the want to pro mote within the company but hire the higher ups from outside or friends of upper management and overlook the person who has been here for years. So if you enjoy tenants always complaining about the rent increasing, working outside is every type of weather, and no support from upper management then this is definitely the job for you.
