Poor senior leadership, sexist and dysfunctional

Pros

They over pay for the abuse you will take. Hire top talent but lose them with toxic culture.

Cons

C-suite openly made sexist remarks layered with internal in-team fighting and a blame and shame culture made it very hostile to work here. I have watched women come and go quickly in the organization. The company is run more like military, trading secrets and favours by the "old boys club". They shout in the mega phone they are innovative but have watched them acquire software, we re-make and re-make it because it wasn't what the CEO wanted, then blame the development team at the errors and dysfunction within senior ranks. They burn money rather than helping people.

Pros

+ Very talented group of people that are achieving remarkable things. + Products are well respected in the industry. + Flexibility when it's required. + Good employee benefits (health insurance, free coffee and fruit) + Opportunity to advance your career (only in certain departments)

Cons

- No accountability for senior management. A lot of bullying and discrimination takes place, at times causing mental breakdowns for staff who have to go away on health leave for extended periods. - HR is complicit in causing much harm to individuals who really deserve better representation.

Lots of smart people tackling interesting problems across mining, civil and energy industries.

Cons

Rapid growth over a sustained period (great for business) plus recent restructuring has meant culture is in a state of flux. Lots of in office benefits cut - in theory due to Covid-19 but some had happened before the outbreak. Ambitious goals make for lots of work - often end up taking on much more than your job description.
