Run you into the ground

Pros

Great coworkers. I really liked my team mates. Loved my immediate boss.

Cons

You are run into the ground. Vacations like 4th of July or thanksgiving require you to stay late, come in early, etc to make up for the time off. Might as well not even get the time off.

Pros

Depending on the clinic location you work at, you can have a lot of fun while working. There is no micro-managing, which was probably the best part. They trust you to be able to work on your own and get your tasks done. Since it's outpatient physical therapy, many of the patients are regulars and you get to know them over time. It's a very sociable role. I also learned a lot of new things every day because there were so many tasks to get done. The insurance benefits are actually good.

Cons

Training is only 2 weeks, and there is no way you can learn enough in 2 weeks to feel confident being left alone. There is way more to get done compared to to the basic duties they explain to you during the interview. It's easy to get overwhelmed between the paperwork, phones ringing, and patients needing assistance. If the pay was higher, it wouldn't be so bad. It felt like they took advantage of the help. Also, you have to use your PTO anytime the clinics are closed for a holiday, so it can be hard to save your PTO hours depending on how often you need them. Raises are only 2% depending on your review. There is not a great opportunity to move up.

Pros

Freedom with therapy interventions, CEU courses online/in-person readily available

Cons

High volume, excessive pressure from management to increase numbers/minutes to maximize profit, poor front desk management and lack of consistency with Auth/POC/Rx. Poor training structure for office staff leading to continual turnover.
