      Pros

      Some co-workers are great. DOR's are helpful. Administration of buildings are pathetic.

      Cons

      Dealing with regional managers who do not support the therapists that are in the daily grind. They only care about #'s. Also, dealing with nursing staff who are agency CNA's. These CNA's make approx $60 per hour and don't do the bare minimum because they "are agency." The DOR's are great and support the therapists as best they can. They are limited because of the Regional Manager's inconsistencies. There is a reason there is high therapist staff turnover.

      Working with patients and helping them achieve their highest level of independence

      Cons

      Select does not care about their employees or the patients they are supposed to be helping. Their concern is that you maintain a high productivity. No excuses. I've been in this field for 10+ years and have never seen such blatant disregard for patient care, therapist safety or poor employee management. Fraud is a deep part of Select. Therapist get away with never treating patients while billing insurance every day. I've seen management turn a blind eye to this type of fraud though it's been brought to their attention many times. Very discouraging and heartbreaking to watch. Stay far away from this company

      Mgt. will use all manner of coercion and scare tactics to make THEIR numbers look good Regional MGT provide NO real-world, useful support other than additional scare-tactics delivered at the staff MANDATED over-RUG-ING of part A patients - regardless of therapist input Staff will routinely work off-the-clock to get their work completed - overtime is expressly forbidden Assistants told they are "non-essential" personnel Mgt. will 100% acquiesce to the whims of the facility - regardless of significant questionable ethical and clinical issues
