You are a number at this company

Pros

Excellent training, very good starting base pay, although it is halved a few weeks in. They reimburse licensing and education expenses and fund the acquisition of non-resident licenses for you.

Cons

You are only a number at this company. I was hired to work during the busy season for Medicare (AEP Oct 15th-Dec 7th.) During this time, I would frequently work 10-11 hour days. After AEP, most of us who were hired were let go. I was informed this was a temporary position from the start, but I was expecting to go through March for OEP. I felt they used us simply as extra hands for AEP.

Toxic Work Environment

Pros

Thankful I left the company

Cons

- Work hours are exhausting - Supervisors do not care about you at all, and most have them have only been there for a year or less. - Hire way too many employees, so it is hard to earn a lot of money - During training they filled your head with many opportunities and things to be excited about (especially compensation) only to barley make anything while working 12 hour shifts. - It is horrible that they sell plans and manipulate elderly people who are in there 80s and 90s and clearly have no idea what is going on. - They said no cold calling but 90% of calls are people who you can not help or have no idea your an insurance agency. Screening is HORRIFIC!!!!!! - You have to go through SO many obstacles before even beginning training, and they trap you because you are not getting that refund back until you're employed for at least two months. Get ready to fork out over $500 before you even begin. - You will have NO social life - And lose your voice from talking so much and YELLING into your headset because a lot of elderly people are hard of hearing.

Pros

Coworkers are a great support system, base pay is okay, work from home

Cons

This job is absolutely soul sucking, having to make cold calls, managers only care about numbers and not about you, PTO is hard to actually use, overall I hate coming to my desk every day, constant micromanagement
